Winter Classic: Urine Toss

The Last Angry Fan - What you’re looking at there may or may not be an actual text message sent during this year’s Winter Classic that took place at Heinz Field on New Years Day.  If it’s true, it’s sickening.  If it’s false, well then, so be it.

The worst part is, if this turns out to be true, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.  Drunk hockey fans, much like drunk football, baseball and basketball fans, can be true assholes.  Throwing a cup of your own piss at anyone is disgusting, vile, and criminal.

Still, it’s just a text message, which means no picture and/or video and it didn’t happen.  And it took place in Pittsburgh, which I’m sure has rude and obnoxious fans just like any other city, but hey, it’s not like we’re talking about Philly here.  Unlike the City of Brotherly Love, I’m willing to give Pittsburgh the benefit of the doubt here, until concrete proof shows up.

    I went to school in Pittsburg, so I can say with authority that PGH fans can be amongst the most despicable in sports. When Kordell Stewart was the Steelers QB I heard the N word tossed around at nearly every bar(this is a college town, mind you) that was showing the game. I sometimes thought I was in Alabama. Not only do I believe this story, but I probably know the asshole that threw the cup. In conclusion, Fuck Pittsburgh.
